Why are we called the 9-5 Planner?
Category : General
I am a born planner. Even as a child I used to enjoy planning my days out in various notebooks and I had so many diaries on the go. I loved stickers and using them to transform a dull notepad into something magical. As I have grown up, I have always kept up my diary tradition and now have a bright pink A5 Filofax that is full of beautiful paper and floral stickers. I think I probably have enough washi tape to go at least once round the earth. My love of planning has extended into my career and my 9-5 day job involves very high level strategic planning. However, as much as I would love to use my pink fluffy flamingo pen and my hot pink Pusheen note paper in board meetings, it is just not the done thing for a serious professional. So I like to think I have two planning personalities, the 9-5 planner and the pink fluffy weekend planner. In my 9-5 planner mode, I use serious washi tape with pictures of building silhouettes and black and white sophisticated to do stickers because even though I am at work, I still want to let my personality come through, even if it does have to be toned down. At the weekends, I am all over my glitter unicorn stickers and gorgeous flamingo washi tape. My general planner is broken into two sections. The 9-5 section has toned down sensible black and white floral dividers, my weekend section has rainbow unicorns. This blog represents my two sides, it contains the serious 9-5 business me, but it also lets my inner glitter girl come out. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
